Mre. Price transmits the foregoing letter, and explains how it became necessary to throw extra work in hot haste - The boundaries of land lots had to be adjusted and Mr. Danby, alone in the Office could do the work. He had, however, to be relieved of other duties, and there were assigned to Mr Prestage. Mr Price adds that the Clerk of Works' duties had increased immensely; that Mr. Prestage was underpaid; and that his salary should be increased to $2500 a year.
